Can't WAIT for SPRING!

Hello Everyone!

I apologize for the lack of posts lately! But never fear, more FAB posts to come!

Today is a little jump closer to Spring. Who is over winter? I AM! And I know most of you are too. Today's outfit is perfect for that short time on the cusp of Spring, when there is still a chill in the air but the sun feels warmer.

The combination of winter fabrics and lighter weight cuts make this assemble still warm but less bulky. Note the grey wool blazer and cropped pants and knee socks rather then a heavy coat and full length pants. Also light grey instead of black or dark brown is great way to remain neutral in your winter to spring color palette but with an airier spring feel.

HAHA My face is ridiculous in this photo but I love it anyway!

Beauty SHOTS!

Hey Guys!

Today's topic... BEAUTY! Who doesn't love makeup?

This evening I went for a bit of a Geisha/Genie look. Obviously this is much more makeup then my day to day routine. However it is an extension of it.
I hate washing my face and starting from scratch if I am heading for an evening out. If you start your day with the right products and proper makeup regime then your "FACE should stay in PLACE" all day long...with minor tough-ups of course.

To achieve this look I...
  • Emphasized the eye with an exaggerated cut crease and highlight, outlined with a sharp black liquid liner for added drama and finished off with a couple more coats of mascara.
  • Powdered the face to eliminate daily shine and added more highlight to the tops of the cheek bones.
  • Primed and dusted the lips with white shimmer powder.
  • And FINALLY added black cardboard eyebrows to stop the show!!!

Remember to have FUN with makeup! It just a face and you can always wash it off! You can literally change your personality, mood, or even character with makeup!

Dare to be Different ;D

POP of RED ~

Hello Dahlings!

I like to amp it up on Saturdays... Pull out the high-er heels, brighter lips and curl the hair!

Today is a classic look. A modern dandy!. These photos again were taken on my balcony. My neighbors I am sure are wondering what all the flashes were coming from my balcony! Whatevs! Creative people do eccentric things... just deal with it ;D

I think this outfit proves that jeans can be dressed up. Paired with a pair of heels and a collared shirt makes these jeans almost appear as dark skinny pants. A great face of makeup and done hair help aid in the polished look of any casual outfit. Believe it or not this oversized flannel dress shirt is just as cozy and simple to slip on as any frumpy sweat shirt... so rethink those sweats next time you're going out and aiming for comfortable/casual outfit.

PINK PINK PINK!

Hello Everyone!

So Valentines Day is just around the corner and I was inspired to get PINK! I threw together everything pink I could find to create a dynamic outfit that Cupid wishes he had worn, rather then that diaper he's always sporting haha!

This outfit is a combo of vintage and new clothes. The blazer is a Vintage Avon Sales Rep. Jacket. I tailored it to fit by darting the front and back leaving it loose fitting through the bust and hips for an accentuated hour glass silhouette.  The neckpiece is a repurposed Christmas tree ornament. Quite easily done... I cut off the tree branch loop and attached a long black ribbon to tie it around my neck. Presto! A piece of interest no one else will have!

Pair those unique pieces with your "off the rack" finds from popular stores and you're guaranteed a DISTINCTIVE look!

Have a LOVELY Valentines day everyone! Get PINK and get inspired! Cupid just might be after YOU! ;D

Winter Attire! Todays LOOK....

Hey Guys!

NEW BOOTS!!!

As you can see I didn't go very far today. I crossed the street and turned right back. Quite the blustery and snowy day in Toronto! Sooo... these photos were taken from the comfort of my own balcony!

I pretty much always rock the androgynous look. A little bit of masculine, a little bit of feminine, just to keep it interesting. My favorite part of this assemble are my new boots. Black leather lace up boots with a clear Plexiglas heel! So on trend right now! With the thick, sturdy heel and the stable high platform these boots are actually very comfortable and I can wear them for hours! Fashion meets function ;D well for me haha....

Here Comes Sebabulous!!!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Sebastian Blagdon. I am starting a daily fashion blog to chronicle my daily fashion life. I know that may seem trite but whatevs haha! I love fashion and to me its a full time job! The hair, the face, the wardrobe, the dedication! It's not just for the faint of heart! Everyday I put myself all together to put my best person forward to the world.

Now... A little about me...

I am a 23 year old fashion designer and hair stylist. I recently moved to Toronto last year to make my mark in the Canadian Fashion Industry and by golly I am going to do it haha! I grew up on the East Coast in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I studied fashion, textiles and design at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design (NSCAD). Later I studied hair styling at the Hair Design Centre (HDC).

I had my first show with NSCADs annual Wearable Art Show. It is a student run fashion show to help the AIDs foundation. They have been holding it for nearly 30 years now! Crazy! It has become quite a big thing in Halifax. So I showed 3 collections in the "WAS" show and was later invited to show my fashions at the newly introduced Atlantic Fashion Week. I showed 2 collections there. Designers from all over the Atlantic provinces come to show off their creations for the fashionable East Coaster.... and yes...  there are fashionable people on the East Coast. I mean I lived there didn't I?

My latest show was with Ryerson's second annual Wearable Art Show. It was created by a past NSCAD student, a friend of mine, Alysia Myette. She now studies fashion design at Ryerson. It is very similar to the show in Halifax though they choose a different charity for each show.

Anyway... Thank you for reading my long introduction to what I hope will be a fashionably stimulating blog! Trust me it will be!!!

Stay Tuned for Fabulous images of my Daily Fashions and my past and favorite looks and inspirations!

Warmest Regards,

Sebabulous ~
